It all began with Crusaders.

Our first competitive team entered the Liverpool League in Division 5 in 2019. They won 19 out of 21 games, finished second in the league and gained automatic promotion to Division 4 in their first season together. The team today although embellished with some new faces still has many original players. They like to call themselves the OG’s.

Next came Crusaders Diamonds.

They were our post lockdown team! Originally, we had advertised for players for a back to netball team, but the Diamonds quickly demonstrated that they were NOT a back to netball team! In their first season together, they won both of their Monday and Wednesday evening leagues in Warrington and Liverpool. We have added new players to this team over the last few months who have all brought strength and depth to the squad.

And then there were three.

Crusaders Hearts was put together shortly after Diamonds. Post COVID, not all netball clubs returned to training and competitive games meaning a lot of experienced players were unable to return to the sport they loved…until they found Crusaders! In their first season together, Hearts won their Tuesday evening league and came second in the premier league in Liverpool. The squad continues to go from strength to strength.

They’ve completed us.

Crusaders Aces were put together in 24 hours when a team dropped out of the Liverpool League leaving a vacant space. We put an advert on social media and our members contacted friends who they knew wanted to get back into netball. We were overwhelmed with the response. Crusaders Aces are currently competing in Division 5 of the Liverpool League and although its early days they are on a winning streak!
