“I got back into netball 6 years ago at 24 years old, 10 years after playing in school ( It’s never too late to go back! ). I started playing socially with various teams & my love for netball grew.
Soon I found myself playing netball pretty much every day of the week. In 2019 I decided to set up a team to get women back into competitive netball. I asked a group of women I was playing socially with to join me & from that Crusaders was born.”
COVID-19
When the COVID pandemic hit, we were unable to train and play together as a team but that didn’t stop us. We began a comprehensive virtual program offering our members multiple fitness classes and social events each week. We were together even when we were apart.
We shared our activities on social media and were inundated with requests to join the team. It was then we decided to build our team into a club.
4 TEAMS
I am proud to say that today Crusaders is made up of 4 amazing teams led by 5 incredible coaches. We are more than a netball club; we are a family. Every single Crusaders member is a successful, empowered, and inspirational woman. The support they bring to each other on and off the court is to be admired.
